Dr.Bhagwat seeks complete abolition of Communal & Targeted Violence Bill
Dr. Mohan Bhagvat addressing the swayamsevaks on the occassion of Vijaya Dashami in Nagpur
RSS Vijayadashmi Celebration 2011
Nagpur, October 6 :
Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohanji Bhagwat flayed the the proposed Communal and
Targeted Violence Bill in every form and said that the draft prepared by
the National Advisory Committee under the guidance of Sonia Gandhi has
no constitutional value at all. Speaking at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak
Sangh Nagpur Mahanagar’s Vijayadashmi Utsav celebration, he
demanded for the complete abolition of the draft and appealed to all the
Members of Parliament to strive unitedly for this cause.
He
took a brief account of various burning issues before nation through
his detailed speech. Anti-corruption movement has yet not been
completely successful. We should be prepared for a long battle. It will
be possible to view positive results only if a strong stream of united
power will flow by setting aside the the ideological differences, he
further said.
Sarsanghchalak
also strongly criticized Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh’s statement
that the proposed Communal and Targeted Violence Bill can be presented
in an improvised manner. He said that the draft itself deserves to be
thrown into the dustbin. It is against justice and democracy.
Asserting
that the anti-corruption movement is the outburst of people’s anger, he
said that the leadership of this movement needs to be quite alert.
Government is leaving no stone unturned to suppress the agitation. Those
who are opposing the slogan ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ in this movement
should be dropped, he insisted. Sangh swayamsevaks voluntarily
participate in every movement that is in favour of nation’s interest, he
mentioned.

Taking a stock of world politics,
Dr Bhagwat alerted government about the external threats. India has a
cultural connection with neighbouring nations since hundreds of years.
In spite of this, Pakistan, China, Bangladesh and Nepal are bearing
enmity with India. We must change this situation. India must strengthen
the cultural bonds and share their joys and sorrows. These nations seek
guidance from India rather than from the stronger nations of the world.
This should be kept in mind while framing the foreign policies, he said.
He also appealed to take effective steps for the rehabilitation of
Tamil brethren in Sri Lanka.

Over Kasmir issue,
Dr Bhagwat mocked at the central government policy of appointing a
mediator. This policy framed by government to keep its vote bank intact
has facilitated the separatist elements to again raise their ugly hood.
The amalgamation of Kashmir with India is complete and final; therefore,
while negotiating on Kashmir, it is necessary to proceed with the
resolution passed unanimously by the Parliament in 1914, he said.

Criticizing Home Minister
P Chidambaram for his classification of terrorists as more and less
dangerous, he said that terrorism is just terrorism; it cannot be
quantified as more or less dangerous. It has to be completely uprooted.
He strongly flayed the central government for appointing alleged Moist
supporter Dr Binayak Sen on the panel of Planning Commission who
recently got relief from the Supreme Court.
Regarding inflation,
he said that the salaries of legislators are spiraling whereas the
common man is being engulfed by the fire of inflation. Government is
making a mockery of the poverty of economically backward people.
In order to provide food security
to the entire nation, it is very necessary that farm land should be
well protected. However, this fertile land of farmers is being grabbed
under the name of SEZ. Those who protest the move are falling victim to
the ruthless firing by police. This is extremely dreadful. Raising
eyebrows over death of farmers in police firing at Mawal (Maharashtra),
he indirectly flayed Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar.
All such problems that are being confronted by the nation have been created by human beings because of their misdeeds.
Their eradication is not possible just by framing laws but system
transformation is the only solution. For this transformation, there is a
need to create a united, value-oriented society comprising of good
people. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is striving hard from last 86 years
towards the creation of such society. Today’s situation is also
demanding a value-based society consisting of good people and this
demand must be fulfilled by the children of Bharat Mata. Let us all vow
to accomplish this task on this pious occasion of Vijayadashmi, he
appealed.
Dr Kohli flays govt’s lenient attitude over terrorism
Chief
guest of the programme, renowned Hindi Litterateur Dr Narendra Kohli,
came down heavily on central government’s lenient attitude over
terrorism. For protecting terrorists, these people having alleged
sympathy for ultras, have spread misconceptions regarding Mahatma
Gandhi’s philosophy of non-violence, he said.
Who are these people who talk of
protecting terrorists? Raising this question, Dr Kohli said that this
nation doesn’t belong to these people. These people can never be
patriots. Stating that utilizing power for self-defense and protecting
the nation is not the violence, he said that Bhagavadgita doesn’t
propagate violence. If this was true, Gandhiji would have never
advocated Gita. There is no paradox among Shri Krishna and Gandhiji but
both are very similar, he proposed.
Taking stock of the anti-corruption
movement, he said that after a warm response to this agitation, a
fruitless discussion has started over the issue that Anna is not the
public representative! Insisting firmly that Anna is indeed a public
representative, he said that one who works for the cause of nation and
for the benefit of nation is a public representative.
Asserting that Swami Vivekanand had a
revelation that Bharatmata is Goddess Jagadamba, he said that selfless
service towards the children of Bharatmata is the true worship of Maa
Jagadamba.
After the arrival of chief guest along with Sarsanghchalak, swayamsevaks presented breath taking demonstrations of dand-yuddh, niyuddh, dand yog and ghosh. Initial address, introduction of the guests and vote of thanks was proposed by Mahanagar Sanghchalak Dr Dilip Gupta. Vidarbha Prant Saha Sanghchalak Ram Harkare and Mahanagar Saha Sanghchalak Laxmanrao Pardikar were present on the dais. Bharatiya Janata Party National President Nitin Gadkari was prominently present in a complete ganavesh (uniform) during the programme.
